Annapurna Circuit Trek a beautiful and most popular trek in the Annapurna Region. A walk takes you into large place at Chame which is also a headquarter town of Manang district and then walk into the lovely coniferous forest of tall rhododendron, magnolia, oaks, pines and fir tree lines. The adventure continues as walk progress with a climb into the much cooler region to enter into scenic and beautiful Manang Valley at Pisang village lined with rows of prayer wheels facing views of lofty Pisang Peak right above the village of Pisang. Soon reaching at main Manang village located on the shelf of Masrsyangdi River and in between towering mountain range of Annapurna II, A-III and A-IV with Gangapurna in the south with Chulu peaks towards the north. Manang main a village which is at above 3,500 m / 11, 483 feet high an interesting place and at ideal altitude for rest days to support.

At Manang enjoying rest days with scenic hike and exploring the village and monastery to observe local interesting cultures of great religious and heritage of Buddhism. From Manang village on the road to reach at the base of high Thorang-la pass where early morning climb reaches you on top at an altitude of 5,416 m and 17, 700 ft high. The top marked with a signboard with heights and name of the pass festooned with thousands of colorful Buddhist prayer flags, this will be the highest point of an adventure where you can feel in high spirits. After a glorious and marvelous moment overlooking the spectacular panorama of high mountains that includes the whole of Annapurna, Damodar Himal with Chulu peaks and as far towards massive Mt. Dhaulagiri range.

Heading to Manang Village

Along descend takes you within Mustang area at holy Muktinath temple premise on leaving Manang district, within arid, and windblown landscapes but beautiful to capture in your memories. Enjoy your stay at Muktinath a holy spot and famous pilgrimage place for Hindu followers, where you can overlook grand views of Dhaulagiri Himalaya peaks with Mustang Himal. From Muktinath where trekkers can have options either drive towards Tatopani village skipping and shortening the treks for few days or continue walks heading down at Kali-Gandaki River Valley.

Where route follows the river downstream visiting nice Jomsom town headquarter of Mustang the district as the walk takes your further past charming village of Marpha and Tukuche, famous for its delicious apples and its products. Walk takes you to low warm farm country back into paddy fields with awesome views of Annapurna, Nilgiri with massive Ice Fall of Mt Dhaulagiri South East Face and then into world deepest gorge of Kali-Gandaki, located in-between towering Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain range.

Slowly walk takes you at the nice lovely village of Tatopani a place with natural hot-spring where ‘Tatopani’ name means Hot-Water or spring, with time here to enjoy refreshing moments to soothe tiring muscles from the many days of trekking.

After Tatopani back on the high trail with a climb towards cooler alpine hills to reach at scenic Ghorepani village situated on a ridge below famous and popular Poon Hill renowned for stunning sunrise views over the chain of the Himalayan mountain range. The trail goes down Tikhedhunga or continues to Annapurna Base Camp Trek.

Ghorepani offer great views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains the village itself surrounded by beautiful rhododendron forest, the area regarded as the world’s largest natural garden.

Which you can witness in springtime around March to May when wild-flowers are in blooming seasons with rhododendron of various species, from Ghorepani after enjoying super mountain panorama with sunrise walk continues downhill.
